In one sentence

Car Background AI offers free tools for car dealers that prepare listing photos before upload: a car photo resizer that exports each photo at the size a marketplace expects, and a car photo logo adder that puts a dealership logo on every photo in the same spot. Both are free on this site, need no signup, run in your browser so your photos never leave your device, and leave the background alone.

Guide

Workflow

The dealer listing-photo workflow, step by step

Four steps between the car on the lot and the listing going live. Two of them are free here; one is the paid editor; the first is yours.

1

Step 1: Shoot

Shoot in landscape, in daylight, with the full car in frame and room around it for cropping. Shoot the same angles for every car in the same order, because consistency across the lot is what buyers read as professional. The shot list and the per-marketplace specs are in the marketplace specs template.

2

Step 2: Resize

Each marketplace has a shape it expects, and some publish no size, which is why the resizer carries a safe default. Pick the marketplace, upload up to 30 photos, choose Crop to fill or Fit whole car, and download the batch as JPGs named with their new size, in one zip. The size table with every figure and its source is on the tool page, so this hub does not repeat it.

3

Step 3: Brand

A dealership logo belongs in a lower corner, small and slightly transparent, in the same place on every photo: upload it once as a PNG, drag it into position, set its size and opacity, and it lands in the same spot on every photo in the batch. Some marketplaces disallow any overlay, so keep an unbranded export for those. The placement rules, the safe zone and the per-marketplace watermark policy are on the tool page.

4

Step 4: Background (optional, paid)

This is the step that changes the photo most. The Car Background AI editor removes the original background and places the car on a consistent studio or showroom scene, with a background template chosen once for the whole lot. It is a subscription product; the trial gives you 10 free generations with no card required. If you run this step, run it on the originals, then resize and brand the edited output so the logo sits on the final image.

Your photos

How the free tools handle your photos

Your photos and your logo remain yours, and they stay on your device: both tools run in your browser, so your photos never leave it and nothing is uploaded anywhere. The tools do not alter the car: no retouching, no removal of damage, no change to the vehicle's appearance, and nothing of ours is added to your photos. A buyer sees the car you photographed.

Details on what a listing photo may and may not show are on each tool page.

FAQS

Frequently asked questions

Are Car Background AI's dealer tools free?

Yes. The car photo resizer and the car photo logo adder are free to use on this site, with no signup and no watermark, as often as you like, and your photos and logo remain yours. They are separate from the paid Car Background AI editor, which is a subscription product with 10 free generations to start and no card required.

Do I need an account to use the free tools?

No. The free tools need no signup: open the tool page, upload your photos, run the tool and download the result. Everything happens in your browser, so nothing is installed on your computer or phone and your photos never leave your device. An account is needed for the paid Car Background AI editor and its 10 free generations.

Which marketplaces do the free tools cover?

The resizer page covers Facebook Marketplace, AutoTrader, Cars.com and CarGurus, plus eBay Motors, Craigslist, Auto Trader UK and Google vehicle ads; where a marketplace publishes no size, a 4:3 landscape export at 1024 × 768 or larger is the safe choice. The logo adder works on any photo regardless of where it is going. The full size table, with each figure and its source, lives on the car photo resizer page.

Can I run the free tools on a whole batch of photos?

Yes. Upload up to 30 photos at a time and each tool applies the same size or the same logo placement to every photo, then the batch downloads as JPGs in one zip. That is the point of them for a dealership: one setting on every photo, not forty separate edits. For whole-inventory background editing, the paid editor handles batches too.

What is the difference between the free tools and the Car Background AI editor?

The free tools change the size and the branding of a photo; they leave the photo itself alone. The editor changes the photo: it removes the original background and replaces it with a consistent studio or showroom scene, so every car on the lot looks like it was shot in the same place. The editor is paid, with 10 free generations to try.
